Instructional Design
TPACK combines knowledge of content, pedagogy, and technological tools. These three realms are all important for great instruction and great teaching.
The TPACK Framework will help you remember to focus on your content and pedagogical knowledge, which are essential for effective learning. You do not want technology to cover up or diminish the knowledge of your content and pedagogy. When technology is added to the equation the other two can’t fall by the wayside.

SAMR framework allows the teacher to transform a lesson using technology. When a lesson is transformed and has reached the redefinition stage the activity or learning could not happen without the use of technology.
Lesson Plans/Ideas:
I transformed a persuasive writing lesson. The lesson originally had the students stop at writing their thoughts into a persuasive essay. I continued the lesson and had the students create a flipgrid video to share with their parents. The students had to persuade their parents through the video rather than only through writing. The students used their writing to help them stay on topic, say the points they wanted to make, and remember their idea while making the video.
Personal Reflection
I chose to take a lesson plan that I had already created to apply the SAMR framework to transform my lesson to reach the redefinition stage. I had my students record a message to their parents using Flipgrid after we learned about persuasive writing. The students persuaded their parents to let them have or make or do something using the skills we learned in the lesson.
